✅ Simple Setup of SmiLab RTK Receivers
RTK receivers by SmiLab are designed for easy setup and use. Most functions are activated by pressing a single button. Current modes can be easily identified by:
✔ Light indicators
✔ Sound signals
✔ RTK Configurator App (Android)
🔹 Main Modes of RTK Receivers:
- Rover – a mobile receiver that receives RTK corrections.
- Base – a base station that transmits RTK corrections.
📡 Three Ways to Transmit RTK Signal:
- Via the Internet – from a tablet (Android) via Bluetooth.
- Via LoRa Radio Channel – without additional devices.
- Via Cable – through the RS232 interface.
🟢 Light Indicators for Modes:
- Once every 3 seconds – Base mode (base station).
- Once per second – searching for a navigation solution (Rover mode).
- Twice per second – autonomous mode (without RTK corrections).
- Three times per second – Float mode (searching for RTK solution).
- Constant light – fixed RTK solution found (accuracy ±1 cm).
🔊 Sound Signals:
- Two short beeps – fixed RTK solution found.
- Long beep – RTK solution lost.
🎛️ Controlling the RTK Receiver with a Button:
- 1 press – check the mode (3 beeps – Rover, 4 – Base).
- 2 presses – set base coordinates (2 beeps – success, 1 long beep – error).
- 3 presses – switch the receiver to Rover mode.
- 4 presses – switch the receiver to Base mode.
- Hold for 5 seconds – reset to factory settings.
🚀 Quick Start of the RTK Receiver
🔹 Option 1: Receiving RTK Corrections via the Internet
RTK solution from a third-party base station (paid/free).
1️⃣ Connect power to the RTK receiver.
2️⃣ Launch the SmiLab-Agro app on an Android device.
3️⃣ The app will automatically connect to the receiver via Bluetooth.
4️⃣ Go to RTK settings → enter login/password for the NTRIP server.
5️⃣ Press the connect button – the receiver will start receiving RTK corrections.
6️⃣ The LED will light up constantly, indicating a fixed RTK solution (accuracy ±1 cm).
🔹 Option 2: RTK Corrections via Your Own Base Station (via Radio Channel)
Using two RTK receivers: one as a base, the other as a rover.
1️⃣ Turn on both RTK receivers.
2️⃣ After 1 minute, press the button twice on the base receiver (to save coordinates).
3️⃣ Press the button four times – the receiver switches to Base mode.
4️⃣ The base station automatically transmits RTK corrections via the LoRa radio channel.
5️⃣ The Rover receiver receives corrections → the indicator will light up constantly (accuracy ±1 cm).
